We bought out the Monroe for a company party for ~150 people and it was fabulous! The owner was easy to work with and added in a lot of personal touches to the space that we weren't expecting. The venue size was great for our group size, however if you plan on hosting 200+ people it would be tight and resemble more of the club atmosphere that you'd see on a typical night at the Monroe. We used one of the caterers the venue suggested and the food was fantastic. Also, in terms of renting the space, the pricing was quite reasonable for a full venue buy out + what you get compared to other downtown SF locations that we looked into. Overall, I'd be happy to host another event here in the future!

This felt like a high school prom nevertheless I had so much fun except when I was crushed to the wall because it was so packed. There were like 4 bouncers and they were very confused with each other but helpful in the end and great music.

This review is 100% for the staff. When my friend and I were dancing her shoes came loose. Both of them. The straps broke and she was shit out of luck. We asked around for tape or something to help her but obviously nobody care BUT LUCIE!!!!!!! Lucie: you wonderful woman. Thank you for pestering everyone to get us the help we needed to we could stay and have fun all night. You’re a girls girl and I hope you get the recognition you deserve!

Decades night was fun, DJ did a great job and energy was good. bartenders were great about getting drinks out in a timely fashion but because it was loud and busy took a while for them to understand I wanted to close my tab. Decor is cool and they had a fog machine, had a good time

The bouncers were nice this time but when I went previously (much later at night), one bouncer wanted to turn me away (was part of a group) for wearing a blouse and adidas track pants since I had come from work. The other bouncer actually at the door had no problem letting me in with my group

Had an amazing time, the v8be was like what i remember disco techs to be like in the 70s woth a art neuvo touch. This place is amazing. Dont hike around the whole city all day, just go dance here and the best workout from 6 am to noon.

Way too small. And there are two lines all the time. Horrible management. Only 50-100 people capacity with no air conditions. No offense to any race or ethnicity but it is an Indian night club. 80% Indians and as I mentioned above, too much people with no AC, smell is horrible. They always advertise 1-5$ drink deals but when I mention or ask from the bartender 2 times before, “there is a secret way of asking or you have to know someone”. Overall horrible place, crowded, overpriced drinks with horrible armpit smell. Line is 2 hour wait and same music all the time. Probably gave Monroe 6 or 7 times of tries.
