Our family of 6 adults plus our one year old grandchild stayed in Big Bear Cabin for 5 nights this September. We were blown away by the cleanliness, gorgeous secluded setting, fully stocked kitchen (cookware, baking dishes, utensils, sustainable baggies, plastic wrap, dishwater soap and much more). Recycling was a priority with nice clean recycling bins and larger. bins in the garage. My son and his wife fished morning and night in two beautiful spots, just steps from our cabin and they were very successful but still felt the fishing was challenging enough to be enjoyable and fun. Our grand-baby slept soundly in her pack and play in the sweet bunk bed alcove, we enjoyed all the wildlife (turkeys, deer, bear) and the gorgeous, updated cabin decor with many sweet touches such as battery operated candles and beautiful lighting throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable with windows we could easily open to hear the river and rain. The floor plan was perfect for our family: 2 extremely comfortable bedrooms on each side of the large living room-kitchen area. Each of the 2 bedrooms had 1 bathroom to share which was fully stocked with towels and toiletries. There was a beautiful laundry room behind the kitchen and a fun loft with a door that closed. This space was extremely convenient for our remote working adults who had to sequester themselves away for online meetings. I could have stayed a month (or even longer). The house beautifully up to date and a lovely escape for our family.

O-Bar-O is a little hidden gem just 10 minutes outside of downtown Durango. My husband and I stayed for 4 nights the end of September and it was truly spectacular. The cabins looked great online but they were even better in person. We were in the Chipmunk Cabin and it was so spacious and clean and had such a cozy welcoming vibe. The outside amenities were perfect too….a deck with lovely view of the Florida River, grill, fire pit, hot tub, etc. not to mention daily visits from sweet Pearl. Herb and Natalie made sure every little detail was covered…all the comforts of home without the crazy😁!! The only downside is that we couldn’t stay longer….but we will be back❤️

What a magnificent experience. Beautiful location along the river. We stayed in the Birds Nest and it was immaculate when we checked in. Spotless, well equipped kitchen, lots of stuff for our dog, towels, treats, sheets to cover the bed. The bathroom was spotless and the walk in shower was so convenient. They provided a shower bench for us. Friendly staff from greeting us by name when we arrived to making sure we had everything we needed. 10 star visit while we were seeing all the leaves changing in the area. This was a wonderful, relaxing, beautiful experience. The cabins are very comfortable and clean, the hosts are amazing, and the mountains and relaxing deck are amazing! The hosts care, have a charming set of dogs and really go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of.

O-bar-O cabins is a great location for anyone wanting a secluded room away from, but close to Durango. My wife and I booked this location for our wedding anniversary and it was awesome. ||The last week of August was great for an uncrowded experience. Herb and the staff were pleasant, responsive, and saw to every detail. ||I highly recommend these cabins.

This is our 4th trip to O Bar O cabins on the Flor-ida River in Durango, CO. Everyone associated with the cabins are friendly and quick to help. The cabins are well stocked with everything needed for your stay, are very clean, and well decorated. ||Natalie & Herb own the cabins and are very hands on. Their little dog, Pearl, is very friendly & loves to greet guests.
