Dined early at 5:30 and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Enjoyed Cornstar cocktail and octopus appetizer, delicious. Main dish was risotto lack flavor, not creamy as I prefer. Dessert is pictured. It was a pastry filled chocolate mousse, a side of hand whipped cream, and drizzles of chocolate sauce. Not heavy, very light.

My grandchildren and I spent a lovely afternoon here. The shrimp appetizer was very very flavorful. All dishes were delightfully good with the exception of Cornish Hen. It was swimming in a sea of tomatoes expressed by my granddaughter. The meat itself was tender and cooked to perfection but she doesn’t love tomatoes that much. However THE COCKTAILS were EXCELLENT!!! Our server seemed new but was very helpful. As a stopover on our way to the beach it was perfect!

There was only one overworked server who took a while to come get our order. She was nice and friendly but this is where the good things end. We only ordered appetizers and won't be coming back to check anything else. The food came surprisingly fast after ordering. The pita strips were leathery, the 3 mousse were bland dips (why is the presumably hummus green?), the mix fritters were just poorly breaded calamari and two tasteless shrimp, the mushrooms were unappetizing in a weird salty broth. None of them justified the asking price.

Good food, both tastes and textures varied and enjoyable, price reasonable,. but the service was desperately slow; our table server showed little interest in doing her job.

We ate here for the first time, so we ordered several dishes. The soup of the day was incredible! The Oblo burger was filled with flavor! The salad was huge (in a good way) with a delicious beet purée. The octopus appetizer was special and unique. After going there for the first time I would highly recommend. The prices were mostly reasonable, we were actually surprised by this since it tasted and felt like fine dining. Price was well worth the food, especially for the salads/burgers/appetizers.

This was our first visit, and we may not come back. Although the service and the atmosphere was wonderful, some of the dishes we ordered we would not recommend.

The Zinfandel and Sauv Blanc wines were good. The good dishes included the bacon wrapped prawns appetizer and the short rib special (although the short rib sauce was a bit too salty). The grass-fed ribeye steak special was tasty but tough, and came with a sauce (on the side) that was too peppery. The worst dishes were the Salad with Artichoke Hearts (drowned in way too much dressing) and French Fries (too thick and not crispy). We walked away disappointed with our $197 meal.

I was really hoping that this place would be better than it was. The atmosphere and service at the bar were very good, the house red wine was also good.
The 2 appetizers that we tried, the Caprese and Frito Misto, were alright but nothing memorable. But having lived in Italy for many years, I can be difficult to impress. The bread that was served was so old and stale that it ruined the experience, and we left without ordering an Entree. Maybe we'll try another time?

2 stars and Ill explain why this shocked me
We came in for dinner to try Oblo for the first time. right away the ambiance was very nice! I loved the couches by the bar and the decorations were nice. Service so good they greeted us immediately got us waters and menus the blonde hostess was very sweet. I ordered the cornstar martini to start and Ill be honest wasnt great. It did not come in a martini glass first red flag. It tasted like a mimosa... confusing....at first I thought it was the wrong drink. Anyway moving on not a big deal we ordered our dinner my boyfriend ordered the spag and meatballs I ordered Bison Ragu. Im not even trying to be mean please understand but this was the worst italian food I've ever had. The meatballs were gritty like sand, overcooked and somehow grey color? The ragu was a greesy slop mess like a hamburger helper. There was a literal puddle of oil drowning my noodles so much they were soggy. My boyfriend and I (shocked) told our server (who was great, they checked on us a lot and was very polite) that we didnt like it so they took it away. We explained why and just carried on to dessert. I ordered an espresso martini and asked if it would come in a martini glass and they said yes. Some moments later was brought my espresso martini and it came in the same weird grandma cup as the last. Like a full glass of watered down coffee with no foam on top. So we paid our dessert and drinks I didn't finish or like. $60 later paid and even tipped and left feeling so disappointed and irritated took an uber immediately to Bedda Mia. Absolutely saved the night. I dont think we will be coming back unfortunately which is sad because we are locals and live downtown.
