I frequently stay at Marriott properties for work, and Residence Inn has generally been my go-to choice. However, my recent stay left me with mixed feelings.
While the housekeeping staff and breakfast team were consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive, the front desk team was less than impressive. During my several-week stay, I encountered staff who seemed indifferent, unprofessional and, at times, unfriendly.
One key issue I had was with billing. Although I was billed every 4-6 days, which was fine, I requested that the front desk consolidate these charges into a single document for my company’s reimbursement process. Harvest (I believe she supervises desk people) responded to my email and assured me that this could be done, and she'd send me one electronic document. Unfortunately, despite my follow-up emails, I never received the final folio. This oversight caused unnecessary delays in my expense submission and added stress to my work travel.
Additionally, the hotel failed to update my final day's charge on my Marriott Bonvoy account, which required me to contact Marriott headquarters for assistance. I also reached out to the General Manager of this property, for help with these issues, but I never received a response to my email from her.
On the positive side, the room was comfortable and well-equipped, which I appreciated during my extended stay. I especially enjoy having a kitchen, as it makes longer stays more convenient.
While I generally enjoy staying at Residence Inn, this experience fell short due to customer service. I hope the hotel can improve in this area to match the high standards I’ve come to expect from Marriott.

Nice place to stay and plan your vacation from. Rooms are reasonably priced compared to downtown, free parking, free breakfast and rooms are large and have a kitchen. ||Overall a nice location and everything in Anchorage is just 3 to 5 miles away so a short drive. We stayed first two nights downtown, two in Denali and last two nights downtown. Only benefit to downtown is you can walk to restaurants and train. Otherwise you deal with large cruise ship crowds at downtown hotels and restaurants along with paid parking. We actually picked up car after staying downtown.

Overall, our experience here was good. |The front desk staff was always professional and polite, and our room was clean, although the overall decor of the facility felt dated. The breakfast each morning was fresh and hot. On the down side, there didn't seem to be any predictability on when our room would be cleaned - and when it was, there was always at least one trashcan that didn't get dumped. |There were issues with regulating the temperature in the room - and the AC was out for 2 nights. We did get comped for those 2 nights - but that didn't make us feel anymore rested!!! There was an icemaker in the freezer in our room, and that was a welcome surprise! The location of this hotel is a little odd. Tucked back by a business park, so there were no restaurants within walking distance. |Yeah - overall it was good, but would probably choose somewhere a little closer to restaurants and shopping next time.

This hotel has top notch service. Managers Antoinette and Kim provided a warm welcome and my room was immaculate. Friendly staff at breakfast, housekeeping and front desk! Can’t ask for a better stay! I was so impressed with breakfast offerings and location was perfect.

Poor service at the front desk. Was told 4 times we would get extra pillows and they never came. Then person at desk all but hung up on my wife. Room was pretty dirty when we checked in, light bulbs out in fridge and ceiling. Hair stuck to back side of bathroom door…..not a great experience.

Positive: I had asked to get my room changed due to somethings, flooding toilet. Negative: First floor, no screens on windows and they can open all the way to where a person can fit through the window.

We stayed at this hotel after a cruise to Alaska prior to heading to Fairbanks. We stayed in a room with 2 bedrooms which was nice after squeezing into a stateroom Although this is on the best Residence Inn, this is a solid stay. My only complaint is that the room and hallways seemed really dark.

One of the worst Marriott hotels I have stayed. Not recommended. Floors were dirty with trashes and marks in corners. Kitchen table has food residuals and juice marks. Utensils not clean. Hairs were found in a shower towel.
