Everything we ordered was delicious. We had Popeys Revenge and another omelet and they were well seasoned. Next time we went we tried their chicken fried steak. The gravy was excellent.

A very typical American diner. Friendly staffs and large portion served at a decent price. Coffee is extra weak & tastes like diluted water. Omelettes are huge in portion as they are made from 4-eggs. The side dish Biscuits is hugely served with whipped butter. It can easily be shared. Prices are amazing. Easy & available parking is available.

I’m sorry to be negative. I assume this is a family owned business and I go out of my way to support them. Sadly, let this serve as a wake up call. We wanted to go to a late lunch with our son and daughter in law who live in Lockford. The original place they picked was closed, so we went here. I guess it is a business with a long local history. Don’t mind supporting those folks….But….this restaurant needs a total overhaul. It doesn’t seem particularly clean. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Frankly, the meat was borderline rancid—off putting texture, lack of beef flavor—leaving me hoping I don’t get sick after the three bites I had. My husband ordered a big salad. They didn’t bother to dry the lettuce before serving, so mostly he was served a bowl full of water. Hometown diners can be award winners! Please put in the over site and work to improve.

Our food was very good and the portions were large. Everything came out very quickly. This place seems very popular with the locals. Not a great place if you are counting calories!

Great old style diner! Great place to have breakfast in Lockwood. Nice place with a great atmosphere, friendly service, a great menu and reasonable prices. They open early and have generous portions. Our breakfasts were delivered quickly and were tasty. We'll be back!
