I cannot say enough great things about this venue and the people that run it. We had our micro wedding reception here and stayed the several days around our wedding day. Patrick and Andrew are two wonderful human beings. I worked mostly with Patrick during our whole time planning our wedding weekend at the Lodge. He was always timely in getting back to me when we were finalizing everything. He checked in often from the time of booking until our wedding day, seeing if I needed any help since we were not local. Both Patrick and Andrew were supper accommodating with requests we had come up as we got closer to the wedding. What really just left me speechless was their kindness to allow us to use their tables, chairs and tent for our wedding. We originally had a vendor lined up and a week before our wedding, they were unable to provide necessary documents. Patrick and Andrew, did not wait any time before offering the use of their stuff. They did not have the option originally when we booked, or I would have saved myself the headache from the beginning. They quite literally saved the day and recommended a different vendor who could step in and do our plates, cutlery and glasses last minute.

The house itself is gorgeous. It is well maintained. It was fully stocked with then necessities everyone needed; towels, bathroom soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Cabinets were full for glassware and plates as we needed over the weekend as well.

The view is gorgeous. It was breathtaking once you make it up there to look out and see Mt. Elbert. I loved waking up and seeing the mountains first thing. Patrick made sure to give us the best route to make it up to the house as well, which was very much appreciated by us and all of our guests.

Do not think twice about staying here or using their wonderful house as your spot to get married. Thank you both so much as well as your wonderful family/friends who got everything set up last minute. Our day was PERFECT and you were the biggest part in that.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing an intimate wedding at Sky High Lodge and cannot say enough positive things about this stunning property.

As a photographer who specialize in intimate weddings and elopements hosted at Airbnbs & private estates, I have seen my share of luxury properties. However, few compare to the beauty of Sky High Lodge.

A few highlights -

- The property is very well-maintained. The space was clean and showed signs of obvious care and attention to detail.
- The property is remote, providing incredible privacy, but accessible enough that my couple had no trouble finding vendors to serve them on their wedding day.
- The living area is flooded with natural light, making for flattering getting ready photos.
- The property has endless photographic gems, from the scenic dirt road to a wildflower filled pasture.
- Between the large covered patio and first floor area under the patio, the property can accommodate a rain plan when needed.
- The separate entrances for the first floor suite and main floor living area makes it easy to keep the couple from seeing one another prematurely.
- The driveway is large enough to accommodate guest parking or group transportation, such as a limo bus.
- THE VIEWS. THE VIEWS. THE VIEWS. Honestly, the string lit lawn overlooking the valley and mountains beyond is beyond compare.

All-in-all I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful properties I have had the privilege of photographing a wedding at and will wholeheartedly recommend it to my couples in the future.
