this is my favorite bar in Ventura. been going here for years. fun to watch sports there during the day or at night. miss the old pool table setup but the overall interior is miles better than how it used to be. at night it's a wild night club now and gets packed! friendly bartenders and good drinks, it's usually always a fun time.

Big Words

I mean it's a dive for sure but also had a really good time so. Negative one star because a random bar patron passed out and then tried to hit on one of my friends as he was being carried out of the bar by his friend. Also seems like a spot for drama because some stuff popped off when I was there. So just fair warning.

Started out with the bartender making my girl a drink with no alcohol in it, so I asked for another shot to put in it... and he pulled out of my hand and threw it in the trash. Talked to the manager and she hooked us up, meanwhile the guy was behind her flipping me off. I told here to look and she saw it happening, and she appologives for him. Then later that night, I went to the bar to get a non alcoholic drink for her and got denied service for so long that people were pulling on my arm in anger asking wth is going on. So I called the manager over again, and she kicked me out... so no, I don't recommend this place at all, worst experience in my entire life.

Used to be a great stop for a beer or cocktail but it's changed & has no personality at all. Very sterile & empty of character, bar tender was clueless as to what empty beer glasses set up on the well meant. Walked by empty glasses on the well without asking if another was desired. After served first beer & hard cider while sitting at the bar she never asked us if another drink was desired. Proof of that was a nearly empty bar during a Dodger Game on a Saturday afternoon. Unheard of!! Too bad, used to be such a fun place.

Wth happen!? 24 bucks for a drink!? That's crazy. This is a dive bar not a 4 star hotel. Calm down... you have bathrooms in worse conditions then some port o potties. No soap, no running water, clogged up toilets and graffiti all over the walls. You gave into Venturas plan on kicking out their long time locals and catering to the yuppies that visit here. Shame on you starbar!

Have been in here 4 times in the last year with different groups of friends , at non busy times ... the girls behind the bar every time I've been in seem to be f'd up and more interested in chatting up guys , doing shots , and everything other than taking orders . The absolute worst service unless I suppose they know you . Just bad! Love the music but the bartenders can barely hear what you're ordering shouting in their ear . If you feel like coming into a place that's like a bad college after party , with sticky floors and that serves drinks in plastic cups .... This is your spot. If Mark still owns this place it's a sad sad downturn and unfortunately … still popular with people with low expectations. Ugh
