Waited 20 minutes for a beer with only 5 people in the bar. The place definitely attracts some sketchy people. At least from when I was there. It could be the bar tender. Horrible service all in all. There way more better places to have a drink.

We went to a celebration of life there. It's a great neighborhood bar. The kind where you become a regular and everyone knows your name. Well made cocktails and good selection. Downside for me? It's too dark in the main bar.

Wandered on one day just to use the restroom. I was surprised by how nice and super clean the lady's sitting room was and the actual toilet area was really clean. What a pleasant surprise and experience. My husband and I were treated with kindness and drinks from neighbors. The owner is a sweetheart with a very calm demeanour. He was training a new employee and was very nice and patient with her as well. My husband and I stayed for awhile and enjoyed our time there. My husband went back on Memorial Day and gave the owner a wooden horse head art piece to display. We really enjoyed ourselves. Great customer service, great clientele, clean and comfortable environment

Do you remember the show Cheers? Well if you do, I can tell you this place is even better. Everyone from the bartenders, owner and patrons are like family. You don't have to come here everyday to feel the love either. In addition to a great atmosphere, the drinks are great and fairly priced. No matter the day, stockmans is the place to relax, unwind and unload the stress of the day. Always a diverse group of people, with the commonality of friendships to be made.

To set the tone for 5-Stars:
1) This is bar is in the historic Fair Oaks shopping district. So,
A) parking is sparse (and mobility-impaired parking/sidewalk access difficult to navigate for those not up to the formidable challenge).
B) the inside is old/dingy/low ceilings/cramped.

2) Like most clubs whose primary objective is to serve alcohol and hang out, it's loud and crowded.

With above said:
1) Ironically, the above is what also give this club its unique, musty, down-home vibe that a newer establish couldn't pull off.
2) The bar & wait staff table service was responsive, quick, and nice/enjoyable.
3) The drinks were good.
4) Amazingly, group of six was able to walk right in on a busy Friday later evening and secure one of two 8-10 seating tables in the back by the restrooms.
5) Long, narrow bar room (single seating bar on one side all the way down, and small tables the other side going half way down.
6) I did not see food being served of any kind (not even nuts, crackers, pretzels).
7) They have a complete other billiards game room area attached to the bar area.
8) ATM: one generic, freestanding one inside (see pic).
