Had a lovely romantic evening at Stonehouse this weekend. We enjoyed the outdoor patio with heated lamps and string lights for a dreamy background to dinner. The signature cocktail was a grapefruit Paloma - and while a decent cocktail, it missed the mark for me on how a Paloma should taste. Too much extra grapefruit and too little zing from the Tequila. I was, however, very pleased with just how many gluten free and vegan options!there were! The butternut bisque was my starter, and while a tad thin - had great flavor, and I enjoyed the pumpkin seeds. My husband ordered the steak with a truffle butter crown. The truffle butter was not overwhelming with the truffle flavor, and he used a butterknife to cut - it was that tender and juicy. I got the seafood risotto (labeled GF) and demolished my plate. The risotto was creamy, good texture, and the shrimp was overall okay if just a tad overcooked (little tough to chew). The brussel sprouts (a la carte) were a shining addition to dinner with almonds(?) and perfectly toasted - more than enough to share portion wise. Dessert was the Creme brulee trio - the original was best, the caramel had a burnt aftertaste, and the pistachio lacked flavor - only the dusting of nuts on top gave it away as pistachio. Service was good, with a friendly and helpful waiter who took great care of us. I would argue the plates are a tad overpriced, however, the atmosphere and overall experience of dining here make it worth the price.

Enjoyed a delightful lunch at Stone House with a friend. The key lime pie and crème brûlée were exquisite, with perfect balances of sweet and tart flavors. I had the seared salmon, which was cooked to perfection, and Sheila had the loaded steak potatoes. The combination of salmon, jelly, and cheesy bottom was superb, and the cauliflower starter was an unexpected favorite. Must try.

At home in a historic school house full of rustic charm, Stonehouse offers your typical steakhouse options as well as seasonal chef's choices. Most entrees are not plated with sides so keep that in mind if you search the menu. Extensive whiskey and bourbon menu; modest wine and cocktail menu; little in the way of beer. Our server was prompt and helpful though it was not busy being early during midweek.

Had reservations at 7. Show up 5 minutes till got seated at 2 people table where the chairs are not plus size woman friendly. We Order our food by 7:10 and didn’t receive it till 8:02. The restaurant only had 4/5 other couples & they were already eating. We both ordered a steak & I got grilled shrimp and side of Mac n cheese. Was not impressed with the food. My shrimp was tough and not grilled like I asked it tasted like boiled and then dried out. It gets Worse is there were 2 flys that kept trying to land on our food. We are inside. The whole entire time we are trying to eat. We are waving flys away. Very disappointed. Our bill was right $130 that’s not drinks or desserts. Food definitely isn’t worth it! I only say the total because we spent that to just have to wave flys away and wait that long for our food. I’ve had better for same price !!

We were expecting a great meal and service. We were very disappointed. The food was barely warm almost cold. We had to send vegetables back too cold to eat. The steak was okay. The best thing was the artichoke dip and they forgot to send our left overs home with us. I asked them to pack up. Very disappointed.

Highly recommend! Went new years eve and chef Rachel had a set menu which was phenomenal! We were actually celebrating our anniversary (yes were crazy and got married new years eve 28 years ago!) and they put a sweet happy anniversary sign on our table. Little touches like that make a place when it comes to atmosphere. The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in to the time we left.

I had heard so much about it, I was excited to go. I was very disappointed. I had the pork chop, which was excellent. Everything else was just ok. The ranch dressing for my salad was warm. The menu is too limited. We spent $135.00. It was not worth it in my opinion. It seems like one of those places that people just want to be seen at, but it's not worth the money. I won't go back, and I'm not upset about it at all. I miss the Red Barn, The Rib Eye, and The Light House. Years ago those places were so good. You left those places satisfied.
