Really nice setup, 12th floor of the Residence Inn hotel. Indoor and outdoor space. Bar and Bites. Mixed drinks were tasty. Food was so-so. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t special or particularly great or memorable. They could definitely do more with the space. I could see it as a great event venue, glass panes outside and views of Berkeley. Has a mixed crowd of college students and ‘older’ folks.

This place is a hidden gem of Berkeley. Once we walked off the elevator we were greeted by the manager LeeMar who showed us the amazing rooftop outdoor section. We were seated in Yuki's area where we were able to enjoy the views of the entire Bay Area. The food was amazing all of our expectations were met and beyond. I was cold and LeeMar retrieved a blanket for me. Yuki made sure our food came out hot, crispy, and juicy. The drinks were top-tier. This will be a spot to bring out-of-town guests when I show off my town. Study Hall does Berkeley Proud.

Five star atmosphere. Great view at night 360 degrees around Berkeley from the 12th floor! Fire pits. Bar stool level tables. Loungers. Indoor and outdoor seating. Stylish lighting.

Three stars for service. Friday night around 10pm and takes 20 minutes to get your drink after 10 minutes waiting to place the order. But super duper nice waitress though. I think it’s more that they’re understaffed; management issue.

Cool list of drinks. And they’ll smoke ‘em with flavored smoke for a neat twist that I rarely see.

Very fun place to hang out. Mood music playing but you can still hear yourselves talk.

Beautiful view of the city.
Had the espresso martini, was a little disappointed in size. Foamy and didn't reach the top of glass.
Maui Maui tacos were so delicious!

A lovely rooftop bar in Berkeley. I have been there twice - once in the Spring and once for NYE this past year. The drinks and food complement the really cool views of Berkeley and SF! I would absolutely tell everyone coming to Berkeley to visit this place. A special shout out to Alfonso for his amazing Golden Bear drinks, to Karim for taking such great care of us as our server and to Natalee Soo for ensuring that we had a great time and the table that we wanted. We cannot wait to return!

Honestly all five stars earned at this place. A beautiful view of the Berkeley Hills, Berkley, Oakland, and even SF. The service is great, the garlics fries were WORTH IT and the atmosphere is relaxed and stylish and clean. There is an outdoor patio roof section with couches and high tops and and indoor section with tables and a bar and high top tables. If you’re in the area and need a cute spot with a view for a drink and snack — put this place on your list.

I don’t like writing bad reviews but I felt this was important. I’m strictly gluten free because I have celiac disease. They unveiled a new menu recently and I was excited to see gluten free options. When I arrived with my party we were ordering and I asked the waitress if they have a dedicated fryer for their gluten free French fries, tortilla chips, etc. She stated that their fryer is shared so those items could be contaminated, tacos are safe, and they could make me a lettuce wrap burger. So she brings out the food and she tells me that the only thing that’s safe for me to eat is the edamame. I was confused and grabbed the menu and pointed to the gluten free symbols next to French fries, nachos, flatbread pizzas, etc. She stated no, the French fries are coated in flour, and the flatbread pizza is made on regular crust, not gluten free. Not having a dedicated fryer is a pretty normal thing for restaurants, but listing items as gluten free when they in fact contain gluten is dangerous. The menu should be properly labeled as someone with a severe reaction could end up in the hospital. I’m glad I asked about the menu more in depth before I ate anything.
