I took my wife to this place for Valentine's Day. We had an amazing time and the dinner was a special three course meal for Valentine's. All the courses looked awesome and tasted delicious. The ambiance was modern and romantic. I also loved the music they were playing throughout the night (I mean you better if you have vinyl in the name and thousands of LPs in the restaurant lol). The service was incredible with friendly and very attentive staff. I also loved the fact it was next to the Union Station overlooking the train platforms.

I highly recommend this place for a date night or special occasion.

We were enjoying a friend’s birthday we were a group of 10, the food was amazing but the service needs some improvement. From the start the staff seemed a bit frazzled and it felt like they were avoiding coming to our table. It came off like the server did not want to take our table. When we asked questions it felt like an inconvenience and there was little engagement. Even the sommelier was brief and could have done a lot more. The food was amazing, well worth the wait. I think the lack of enthusiasm from the wait staff made it feel long. Not that it’s a requirement but there was no elevation of the birthday girl, no birthday anything. The staffs apathy was off putting.

Now for the most important part. I was almost derailed from saying anything about the service due to how good the food is but felt it needed to be said.

The food was out of this world. We each got different meals. I had the squash and gnocchi dish with bread and the frites (fried). WOW so so good. The hamburger and the fish were delicious. My friends had the espresso martini, we had the winebach everyone enjoyed their drinks!

We tried Sunday Vinyl as Tavernetta was booked out. Everything was ok other than one huge exception. We really didn't like the dishes. We tried the secreto and the gnocchi. They were boring and found the sweetness in the dishes distracting. We will stick with the sister restaurant.

Awesome concept! Music is always great but different every visit! Food is unreal, Michelin star worthy! Service is top notch and cocktails are great!

Ok, Chef Cody is doing👏the👏damn👏thing!

Since Sunday Vinyl has had a menu overhaul driven by Chef Cody, it’s solidified itself as a must-visit spot and not just for their incredible wine and drinks selection. The food is fire 🔥delicious, and inventive. I could eat every dish pictured here dozens of times over and not get tired of them. Everything is so tasty and well done. Things are a *touch* on the pricier side (the hash brown is the price of an entree and I get it, it has caviar, but it’s still the most expensive hash brown I’ll ever have lol), but the elevated menu is one I would happily go back and pay for again.

The service is incredible (I would expect nothing less from this hospitality group) and the vibes are so right - casual, but elegant if you want it to be and a mix of awesome music. I think this is the perfect spot for a date night and will be coming back!

The salad was flawless. So, so good. I know beef is expensive these days but if you've got fine dining prices, you should serve fine dining cuts (see Bistro Vendome). The rare parts of a flank steak should still not be chewy...Went early and received wonderful service until it got busy. Lots of influence from Black culture (art, music) which felt welcoming and yet, no diversity at all among the restaurant goers which tells me the price points and marketing need adjustments. Gorgeous s'mores baked Alaska for dessert.
