Great spot for some indian cuisine. We got mostly chicken dishes. All the chicken was very tender and moist and the flavors are bold and tasty.

Service was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the curry and the Chicken Tikka.

I love this place! I’ve probably been eating here at least a decade by now. This place is a solid. Their recipes are a solid. The staff has always been polite and gracious to me. I mostly get takeout but have dined in a bit as well. They are so sweet to their customers! It’s obvious that they work SO hard. They worked SO hard to stay afloat during the pandemic…just can’t say enough good things about going to this place…a local place that isn’t some huge billionaire’s chain. Love it!

Ordered takeout and overall had a good experience. The food was packaged well and ready on time.
The chicken bhuna and mushroom matter were both good and came at a nice spice level.
It felt a bit pricey for the serving sizes, but not bad.

Update: Less happy with my second takeout order. I ordered medium spice chicken tikka saag and regular spice channa masala.
The saag had no spice taste and was creamier than I'd prefer. The chicken pieces in it were good though. The channa masala had good taste but could definitely be spicier.
The samosas also were pretty basic. Didn't have a great taste and I wasn't a fan of the two dipping sauces on the side. They didn't taste super fresh.
Updated review is definitely bordering 3 stars

Exceptionnel authentic Indian food. Lunch buffet is a great option for those new to the cuisine as it is mild and lets you try a variety. Best kheer I have ever had!

The Taj Mahal III is one of my top choices for an Indian lunch buffet. The chef makes excellent Indian food, and the vegetables are always cooked to perfection. As a vegetarian, I like that the buffet always offers three vegetarian choices. I really like their Saag, which is always on the buffet. In my opinion it's the best saag in Boulder County. Also, the buffet always has Samosa and Pakora. Their Samosas' are my favorite, too. I like that they are mildly flavored. If you like them more spiced (not hot spicy, but flavored spiced), I recommend using the green chutney with them. The Pakoras are tasty, as well! I enjoy them with the Tamarind Chutney. Fresh Naan Bread is always brought from the tandoori oven to your table. So, if you're craving good quality Indian food, I highly recommend the Taj Mahal III. The buffet is a great deal at just $14.99, especially if you are a senior on a fixed income like me.

Family members of mine have been coming to this restaurant for decades and it truly has been one of our favorite restaurants to go to.

Every time we go, the servers and staff are so kind to all of us, including to our little ones, and they make it such an amazing experience whenever we come.

The food is absolutely FANTASTIC as well. It always tastes so fresh and delicious and always comes quickly, and always without any problems.

Some of our favorites are the Lamb Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, Shrimp Curry, Chicken Bhuna (for the little kiddos) and the Naan.

Every time we get any of these (or any dish for that matter) we get treated to a delicious, warm meal that always hits the spot. We love Taj Mahal!

I want to give 5 stars but...yes, they did make up for a wrong order, but they again gave the incorrect order. All of the food tastes delicious and can adjust for spice level. However, there are some glaring inconsistencies. Seeing that we've been eating here (or Taj in Boulder) for a LONG time, my now grown kids still order what they did when they were 10. Always chicken tikamasala(TM) and butter chicken(BC)-similar but different. Regularly the TM was with dark meat and the BC with white meat. However, we've had these two dishes 3x in the past 2 months and they've all been white meat (and when only ordering one (TM) for take out, they accidentally gave BC - then made that up except it was wrong again.) Of course we will eat here and hopefully I can address the inconsistent and incorrect orders accordingly -since they are willing to admit their fault i guess I'll keep trying! Too good not to regardless of what you order!
