First time for us in the new restaurant at the Four seasons. Everything was great. There’s already a couple good Italian restaurants in Vail, but they went for it and it’s terrific. Our waiter Tom was kind and had good suggestions and pairing.

Amazing food great service the atmosphere for a super fine dining establishments in my opinion incredibly loud . But maybe Im old and just don’t want to yell all night in a restaurant to someone right next to me . Wall paper with texture might help to lower the noise level even the waiter might agree because we couldn’t hear him and just yelled back all night and it was not that busy . Just super loud every thing else was amazing.

I was excited to try this Italian restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. Place and service are great. The food was anything but traditional Italian—strange flavors, odd textures, and overall not tasty. It felt more like an experimental take on Italian cuisine rather than the real deal. If you’re looking for authentic flavors, this is not the place.
Place and service are great.

Beautiful Ambiance, Excellent Drinks, and (MOSTLY) Great Service - There
was a strange and unnecessary interaction that felt more like a reprimand than a friendly redirection, which is unusual for the high level of service I expect from the Four Seasons brand.

I’ve been visiting Four Seasons properties since childhood, and they have always set the gold standard for luxury hospitality, exceptional service, and warm, detail-oriented staff. While I don’t always stay at the Four Seasons when I travel, I make it a point to visit when I’m looking for a refined yet inviting experience.

On this visit, I stopped by Tavernetta for après ski drinks, and overall, the experience was excellent. The setting was stunning—our table had an incredible view of the snow-capped mountains, and the wine selection and cocktails were top-notch. The service was attentive and efficient, making for a wonderful way to unwind after a day on the slopes.

That said, I did have an odd interaction with a manager that took away from the overall warmth I typically associate with Four Seasons service. My friends and I were seated next to a terrace door with a beautiful mountain view. After finishing our drinks, my friends stepped outside to take in the scenery through an unmarked, unlocked door that gave no indication it wasn’t meant for guests. As I gathered our coats, preparing to leave, a manager approached and said he wanted to escort me to the “proper” exit because the door near our table was letting in a draft. I completely understood and even apologized for not realizing, but what surprised me was that he stood next to me and waited, insisting on personally escorting me out—even after I had already agreed to take the designated exit.

It was a strange and unnecessary interaction that felt more like a reprimand than a friendly redirection, which is unusual for the high level of service I expect from the Four Seasons brand. If this particular door is an ongoing issue, I’d suggest simply locking it or adding clear signage rather than making guests feel like they’ve broken a rule they didn’t know existed.

Marshall and the rest of staff that hosted us this evening were wonderful. They were accommodating, recommended amazing wine, and so kind to bring out a little something extra for the birthday we had at the table. The space is gorgeous and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time. This is absolutely the nicest restaurant in vail now. The staff and service are immaculate, by far the best in Vail. Beautiful venue. If you don’t mind spending some money, you will love it here. The server Laura was incredible.

Absolutely loved dining at Tavernetta! We had heard that they just opened in the Four Seasons last month (December 2024) and we had to try it.

The staff did not disappoint. Denni made sure to literally take care of every single thing we needed and made sure to tell us the specials. You can just tell all the staff has their stuff together because they all had their strut down.

I love how their menu works. We had the focaccia burrata together. Yum. Then we had the inslata which has the perfect amount of dressing and Parmesan. After that, we shared the Linguini and it was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The lobster and noodles together had the best flavors. And then for the steak we had New York Strip, dry-aged. We usually don’t have a lot of luck with dry-aged but I ate every bite of my portion. It was apart of the A5 Wagyu special and that Wagyu melted in our mouths.

And I don’t even have to mention how gorgeous the interior is! Chef’s kiss to this place all the way. You must go here AT LEAST once during your stay in Vail!
