Stayed at the resort and came here for lunch. First off it’s $58.99 for LUNCH. The food was cold and not very fresh. A lot of options and the display was very beautiful. The lack of freshness really bothered me for the price. I couldn’t understand the guy at the register and didn’t know what the “tickets” are for. They are for one lobster and one plate of crab legs. Here’s the kicker. I DO NOT eat seafood. There is no discount for those who do not use the tickets. You pay to eat seafood. The desserts were the best part but still not very sweet. The gelato was top notch!!!

If you are looking for GOOD QUALITY food go down to Twenty Four 7!!

Definitely won’t be back again for the price and the lack of hot food.

The Buffet at the Monarch Casino is awesome! From the service to the food to the atmosphere, they got it all down! The price is a bit steep at ~$60/person for dinner on the weekends, but the quality and variety of food is decent for the price.

First off, the queen of the buffet, or any buffet in my opinion, are the lobster tail and snow crab. When you pay, 2 redemption coupons are handed per person; one for a lobster tail and one for 2 snow crab clusters. Although this may seem like it is not much, it really is plenty of food unless the plan is to only eat lobster and snow crab (please refer to attached picture). The pho station is ok and the prime rib was very salty, but other than those two, everything else tasted great.

Service is top notch. Our server checked in on us and cleaned up our discarded lobster/crab remains very quickly and frequently. Make sure to tip your servers even at buffets!

I can’t believe they’re charging $70/person for this meal. You’ll have a nicer buffet experience at a continental breakfast bar from any Hampton Inn. Put simply, it was cold food and terrible service. On top of that, they stuck my party in a back room that appears to be intended for storage, not dining, even though there was ample room in the main dining area. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

I’d advise against spending your time or money here on a weekend. We were informed there was no wait, so I went to wash my hands. When I returned, we were told we had to wait 30 minutes. A large group checked in after us, complained about their hour wait, and were then put ahead of us in line. What was supposed to be a no-wait situation turned into an hour-long delay, all while we were directed to get in line. To top it off, the food was mediocre, and the prices were steep. We paid $139.00 for two all you can eat buffets, but there was a caveat, the crab legs and lobster tails are not all you can eat. The crab legs were large, the tails were super tiny. The food they offered was good, but I didn’t feel it was worth what we paid. We visit occasionally, but it’s usually during the week where it’s less expensive. The server was nice, but we would have to ask for refills or more napkins, steak sauce, etc. He was quick to pick up our playes, but didn’t pay attention to what we needed. To sum it up, go during the week when it’s less expensive and not as crowded.

Reading the reviews we were a bit skeptical of coming here but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very fresh and most everything was delicious. The seafood was juicy and hot and the variety was pretty good. The only thing I would have liked better would be the dessert selection, it looked very premade and had a very limited variety of desserts you’d expect for a $120 buffet for two but the gelato was great. Fondue was not on/working so a bit of a bummer there but overall we were very happy with the food and would recommend going before dismissing this place based on others reviews. We went right as they opened at 4pm so I can’t speak to the freshness if you decide to go later or close to closing.

Went for Brunch on Sunday, the Buffet was good even for the price as there are not many breakfast options in Black Hawk. With Monarch rewards card you get $2 off each so it’s a little something. 21+ you get 2 mimosas each with your meal. Also includes soda, juice, coffee, water. Each person does get a ticket for one lobster tail and one crab legs. They did have garlic ginger crab legs unlimited for self serve on the buffet. The food was all kept fresh and at appropriate temperatures.

I came here for dinner, the food is very good with high quality food options. They do give you 1 ticket for a lobster tail & 1 ticket for a hand-full of crab legs. Prime rib, steaks, Mexican food, Chinese food etc… all great! I’m not really a desert type person but they had so many options. Cake, ice cream, cookies, pies… even a chocolate fountain you can get chocolate covered strawberries or Marshmallows. Although the food was good.. the line is LONG you will wait around 1-2 hours but if your lucky you can go in earlier. It is a bit pricy for dinner (58.99 for adult) but it is worth every penny. The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service is a bit slow. I would of given it 4.5 stars if google had the option. I highly recommend this buffet. (I spent 128$ for 2 adults)

Beautiful space, terrible service (LT) never once came back to our table to provide refills or check on us. Also, the lobster lady on (10/21/2024) would not cut your lobster tail in half if you didn’t tip her. Shady practices.
