A complete ripoff! $30 plus tax and tips per person for a standard breakfast buffet. What a terribly exploitative move. Yes it’s a remote town and you may be the only option for folks staying here (many in a rush, with tours scheduled) for breakfast, but it’s just such a pity how blatantly greedy this upcharge is.

Additionally, the normal menu items are also very overpriced and taste just ok

Came here with some hesitation after reading other reviews, but loved the friendly vibe, great service and delicious-fresh wedge salad, cornbread, chili and grilled cheese (which will carry well tomorrow for our 5:30 a.m. Denali expedition)!

Having owned my own business for 20 years I don’t take writing a negative review lightly but it concerns me this place will make you ill or at best waste your hard earned cash. Husband grabbed a to go order as we are staying at the Denali Bluffs hotel. After they made the order incorrectly twice he eventually gave up and just took what they gave him. His burger was still wrong and smothered in sauce that he had specifically asked to be removed. I got what they called Alaskan cod. I took one mouthful and nearly threw up, the fish had a very odd taste and smell and I believe was off as well as being greasy. As they had remade his order it was also lukewarm and the waffle fries completely cold. The coleslaw was very peppery and bitter tasting and the potato salad overwhelmingly smoky with hardly any actual potato in. Rather then risk getting sick from off fish everything went straight in the trash as it was inedible. $52 wasted and in the trash. Fortunately we had bought some yogurts and had those for diner. AVOID this place if you don’t want food poisoning.

This restaurant is built into the hillside as part of Denali Bluffs Hotel. Food was delicious after a long drive into the park and a little walk to get to this place from our hotel. Our server Brandon was a delight with bright comments, suggestions and refills of "clean mountain water."
Our table had a pair of binoculars for searching the mountain and area, the kids entertained themselves viewing the area with those.

Food was delicious and served quite quickly, the boys got "mountaineer burgers" and hubby got a salmon burger. I got the garden salad with salmon, ranch dressing. It had a great variety of veggiesincluded and the salmonwas quite good.
The boys then devoured the dessert cookie skillet with moosetracks ice cream.

We had dinner here two times. Great service and the food was very good. Their specialty is BBQ. It is a bit pricey but portions are big and you can share.

Food was average, it’s a good option to eat if you are staying at bluffs and don’t want to wait for the shuttle to take you back and forth. However it’s the service that bothered me. During the breakfast buffet, there were many food items that needed to be refilled and no one asked me for water. I had to specifically ask them to refill it and give me some water. I am guessing they were lacking staff which is completely understandable. But for the money they are charging, they need to provide better service and quality.

Food was well below standards for the price. We ordered a Caesar salad and fish and chips to split. The Caesar had heavy dressing, and half the bowl (I’m not kidding) was croutons. I prefer a little lettuce in my salad. The fish and chips came on a plate with a heaping mound of waffle fries (they tasted good but took up 3/4 of the plate) and 3 small pieces of fish (maybe a total of 4-5 ounces). I don’t mind paying higher prices for decent food but both items were well below expectations for the cost. On the bright side, Alaskan Brewing Company beers are top notch.

This was good food, but wasn’t the best meal we had during our trip. Nothing wrong with it. But everywhere else we ate was just excellent! Nice atmosphere and great service! Would probably have rated higher if this had been where we had eaten our first night in Alaska lol
