The steak ? was cooked perfect and tasted great. The pork chops as well.

If you’re going to eat here then the dessert is an absolute MUST!!!! So many choices and all are homemade deliciousness.

Ok, wow. I think I am just the wrong demographic for this location. It seems to cater to people like my parents (and I'm 50). OLD school diner feel. Dirty air vents, dirty anything above 6 feet off the ground. Salad was definitely rinsed, because it was still soaking in water. The highlight was the thousand island dressing on the salad. My wife got a patty melt, came out on sourdough with a patty thin enough to read large print through, American cheese, grilled (not caramelized) onions and no thousand island dressing, generous portion of fries, that were apparently unsalted. I ordered the hand battered cod special. 2 two ounce portions of cod in a batter with zero seasoning, with a small amount of waffle fries, also unseasoned. Cod had that rubbery hard consistency fish gets when it's overcooked, which tracks because the batter was burned and very thick. The apple pie ala mode was decent. The filling was great, but the crust was thick and doughy in places. I really wanted to like this place. The highlight was our waitress who was very attentive. Manager rolled in (guess shift change), she dropped the f bomb, said shit as normal conversation (they weren't being yelled at, this was just conversation) with her staff LOUDLY IN THE MAIN FRONT OF HOUSE. Street parking, somewhat dicey in the winter, guessing summer will be impossible.

We came in for breakfast late in the morning, there were 3 waitresses that I could see, the younger one took our order with a very poor attitude right from the beginning, we waited 45 minutes for our food. The other customers started making comments to us about how we had been forgotten, we tried to be understanding because we knew it was busy that morning. When our food finally arrived it was a total disappointment, the waitress didn’t even talk to us as she just threw the plates on the table, I was appalled at the discourtesy of said waitress and the awful looking food I had been just served. The hash-browns were burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside. I began to ask her kindly if she thought it was ok to serve that food to someone who had been waiting that long. Instead of finding out what was wrong with the food (although it was obvious) the waitress proceeded to question my taste, telling me “some people like them like that” I told her the sight of the food was rough and she said “that’s exactly how my day is going”. Now, with a stern tone I continued trying to explain to her that I was not OK to serve that food to someone that is paying for someone else to cook and be served with a decent meal. As she proceeded to argue with me, (my mind melting in disbelief at the lack of professionalism) another customer waiting to pay, told her all she had to do was take back that food, and bring back food that was not burnt, and to not argue with her customers. Then she proceeded to argue with said customer. She continued to loudly state, how awful her day was going, to which I replied that in such scenario it was no longer the customers fault and I asked to talk to someone else. At that point, I asked her to stop talking to me, and I was no longer willing to listen to such a childish adult, it was like talking to a teenager throwing a tantrum because she’s desperate for attention. The two older waitresses were kind, efficient, and understanding. They offered to “discount” the burnt hash-browns, but I explained to them that none of this had to do with money or discounts. We would be happy to pay for ALL the food, had our issue been resolved quick and efficiently. WE ALL LEFT WITHOUT EATING, AND A REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE THAT MAY KEEP US FROM COMING BACK and most definitely will share this story with all our friends and family. The place is great, the staff is mostly kind and professional, but that waitress who hates her life in that restaurant, needs to find a different place to work, because if she is miserable while working, she’s going to make the customers day miserable as well. Her need of attention is not the kind of attention a restaurant or any business needs.

Mayra (pronounced MYRA) was exceptional and the food was superb (we both had the sirloin steak and prawns, with mashed potaotes & brown gravy, garlic bread and a salad with yep, THE BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD, EVER, house-made ranch dressing! YUM, YUM, YUMMY!! I was SOO delighted to learn that they sell it! Purchased some for a friend and some, naturally for myself!

Friendly staff as well as friendly patrons. Prompt service. Has a great hometown feel. I would never order liver and onions myself, but tried my boyfriend's and it was fabulous! Great breakfasts too. Very reasonable prices. We'll be back!

Great all-american, small town family diner. The service was full of light hearted banter. The food was amazing. And the bill did not break the bank. This is the kind of place that is the back bone of American culture.
