It’s kindof hard to describe The Odd Soul. If you’ve been there you know, but these are generally for people who haven’t…yet. Nostalgic, but modern, fun, and comfortable, high energy, but chill. Fantastic food - seriously, I’m not talking “bar food”, great drinks (a million taps, signature cocktails, sodas, and of course a full bar), but it’s the people, patrons and employees alike, who are the heart and soul of this place. Guests, you’re either a regular or a regular in training. We show up to eat, drink, and be merry, but also rise to the occasion when the community or someone in it has a need. Staff like Ada and Boston who all work SO hard and still have fun, smile, and make you feel like a regular on “Cheers”. And then you have the man Jeffro Brown himself who you can find cooking, cleaning, bartending, fixing, (sometimes in costume) but ALWAYS serving the community. When you go to The Odd Soul, you aren’t just a guest, you’re a part of its beating heart. Don’t miss this place. Cheers ?

So I originally ordered a deep dish, and as you can probably tell by the picture...

I'm not sure if this is what The Odd Soul considers "deep dish" or if there was just a simple mix up, because I was kind of pressed for time and wasn't about to wait around however long for them to make me an entirely new pizza.

But even with what I did get, there was practically no sauce and the toppings were somewhat overdone.

The interior/atmosphere was pretty appealing, but there definitely seems to be more of an emphasis on the place being a bar rather than a pizzeria.

Pizza is delicious and full of flavor! I’m not a really a fan of their bar atmosphere, BUT I don’t go there for the bar! I order takeout for the pizza! ? 10 outta 10 everytimeeee.

The most “okay” food I’ve had in months. It’s not terrible. But it’s very far from good. It was super greasy and overall pretty tasteless. Even the dough was underwhelming.

My biggest complaint is having zero servers. The only ones running the entire floor were the two bartenders. So we had to walk up to the bar to order, go up and ask for refills on our drinks, get our own plates and plastic utensils, and go up to the bar to ask for boxes and checks. I’m not sure if this is because they are understaffed or if this is a normal thing. But it bothered me when both bartenders were just standing around and chatting while we had to do all the work. Especially because they were far from busy (as you can see in my photos.) Tables were also filthy and so was the bathroom.

Again, not sure if this is common or just because of understaffed. But I do know that the mixture between the service and the food, we won’t be back. Even if the service was the most incredible we’ve ever had, the food was so bland that it wouldn’t matter.

Hands down, favorite bar in NWA!! The food is amazing. Arguably some of the best pizza around. Great beer selection that always rotates with plenty of local options. Daily happy hour!! Amazing staff that are warm, personable and treat you right. Dog friendly, kid friendly until 9, and decor is an eclectic mix that changes with the seasons. Jeffro has created a great place, and I tip my hat to him and the staff for always making us feel welcome and valued as customers and guests!!
