Tasty, upper class eatery hidden just off the highway.
Finally stopped in here and really enjoyed it. Although the name says tavern it's a bit fancier than expected. I felt a little under dressed!
The onion soup was great and so were the brussel sprouts. The lamb was tasty as well.
This would be a good place to come for a more upscale dinner without the frills of a downtown establishment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cocktails are dangerously tasty.
Definitely give this place a try.
For a main, two sides, desert and cocktails we spent about 70$pp with tip.
They also have what looks to be an event space for rent

I went here kind of on a whim. I was out in Denver for work and wanted to go somewhere nice on my birthday and found this restaurant. I didn't know what to expect when arriving, but was greeted with a very warm welcome and the server Kris or Chris (sorry I don't know how to spell her name) was my server. Very prompt, very helpful, and very kind. After I was wrapping up eating dinner, I told the waitress that it was my birthday and asked if they did anything for birthdays. She said of course and told me she would comp the desert. Apparently a couple nearby hear my story that I was there for work on my birthday, by myself and as I was finishing up my desert, the waitress informed me that the couple had paid for my entire meal. What a nice gesture as they were a younger couple as well. The only thing I know is they were in town for a show at red rocks, so if somehow either one of you read this. Since they had left before I got to say anything to them about paying for my meal....THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. It made me tear up a little bit and really made my day special and it is something I will never forget and will pay it forward when I am presented with the opportunity to do so.

The gesture means more than anybody would ever know, thank you again.

To wrap this up, I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice, warming atmosphere with excellent food. Would be a great place to take a first date to!

I'd give it 3.5 stars. We came for my birthday based on the outstanding reviews. The staff was absolutely wonderful but the food was a little hit/miss. The steak medallions, while the serving size was rather small, was delicious. The beef wellington pastry was a little under-done but the meat itself was very good. My daughter had the blackened shrimp pasta which, unfortunately, lacked flavor. My husband had the double cut pork chops and said that it was a little dry but was saved by the sauce. We also had the brussel sprout appetizer which we were told was the best on the menu, but was underwhelming at best.

The outside view is amazing, the menu offerings are incredible if you're a foodie, the quality of the food, strong cocktails, and plate presentation are better than nearly all downtown Denver restaurants, the attentive servers time everything perfectly and you never need to ask for anything, the dessert offerings are decadent perfection. Friendly and professional staff. Some of the best fresh seafood and steak we've had anywhere in the USA. AMAZING GOURMET EXPERIENCE!

*Absolutely Fantastic*
I’ve driven down 285 for many years and had no idea this place existed; wasn’t to sure what to expect when we pulled up but Twin Forks has great reviews so we decided to try it out.
This will definitely be our new dinner spot for now on; everything from the initial greeting to the desert fantastic.
The pork and halibut was very fresh and had great taste. The guy sitting next to me got the prime rib it looked amazing, I will definitely be trying that next time we go.
Paul also did an awesome job as our server.

I haven't been this pleasantly surprised by a restaurant in a while! I was in the area helping a friend move and we all decided to go out for dinner afterwards. I found this place on a google search and it was just 8 minutes away so we all agreed to give it a shot.
Upon arrival it appeared how I expected it to be... a modest mountain location, nothing flashy or especially eye catching on the outside. I figured this would be just a nice little standard restaurant nestled into the hills.
Upon entering I was amazed how luxurious and upscale this place was. As we were seated our whole group was saying "okay wow this place is actually very fancy".
The staff was absolutely marvelous and very knowledgeable when it comes to the menu and the specials for the day. The service was some of the best I've experienced anywhere recently. The menu wasn't necessarily cheap but everything was carefully thought out and reminded me of a 5 star dining experience the likes of which one might find in very upscale areas.
We had several appetizers which were so beyond delicious I could have made them my whole meal. My personal favorite was the flatbread with pesto... TO DIE FOR.
Most of us ended up chosing fish dishes or pasta and every dish that came out looked like an absolute work of art and continued to make me feel like I wasn't in a small mountain town... but rather a luxurious and upscale almost vegas-style resort.
The icing on the cake (literally) was the INCREDIBLE lemon cake that we got for desert. I turned to my friend and said "I think this is the best lemon cake I've ever had in my life" shortly followed by her father saying the same thing a few moments later. I'm still day-dreaming about that cake.
The overall service and experience at this spot was so beyond what we initially anticipated and I'm counting down the days until I can return and try the rest of the menu... absolutely perfect dinner.

Very nice date spot ambiance. The menu is pretty high end for food. Short wine list. No fancy coffee drinks for after dinner.

There is a waitress here that does a phenomenal job explaining the long list of specials and desserts.

We were only here to meet some friends over some snacks so got some appetizers and pizza. Jen's pizza with the peppercorn sauce and steak was delicious and the duck wings were a unique twist on a pub favorite. We were able to get half and half on the two available flavors which would help us know what flavor to get next time. The creamy pink sauce was the pub sauce.

Lots of parking. Great place to stop on the way back to the city from the mountains if you are taking the 285 route.
