It is a great place, we walked from our campsite. Locals eating and everyone mentioning their favorite food to eat here.
Waitress was attentive, polite and very friendly.
We have visited several times.
Highly recommended.
The pretzel is a big daddy size and it comes with a nice and tasty cheddar cheese.
Green chili is our favorite vs the red chili. Both are delicious.

This is a nice quaint bar just off the main road into Golden. Its decorations make the atmosphere very comfortable and give it a good feel. The service is superb, and the food is very delicious. It is appropriately named and so be ready to be hit in the face with Chicago sports memorabilia.

Wow, what a great experience. From the moment you walk into this bar it’s apparent it’s filled with a tight knit community of local friends, and you, a stranger, are instantly made to feel at home. All the food I tried, sliders, chili cheese fries and the chips and queso were all very good, and very affordable. Tommi, the bartender talks to you as if you’re old friends and I was never waiting around for my next cold beer. What more could you want? Highly recommend, I wish I could give 6 stars.

Fun place! Live music, big beer list, tasty dogs, Chicago style pizza, and much to my surprise - a tiki bar and fried Twinkies. Yes, you read that correctly. If you’re hankering for a little Midwest, this is your place, you won’t be disappointed.

Casual grill and bar with occasional live music. The Chicago beef is delicious, healthy portion on fresh bread/hoagie and I love the flavor! Secret is in the au jus.

I’ve been to Wrigley’s Sports Bar & Grill in Golden multiple times before without any issues, but my most recent visit was incredibly disappointing and honestly a bit unsettling.

I went in after skiing to grab a drink (+ food) and showed my temporary paper ID issued by the Colorado DMV, as my permanent ID was still being processed via the mail. I also had my Ohio ID, which was not expired but had a hole punch from when I switched to a Colorado license. The bartender told me they couldn’t accept paper IDs, which I found surprising since it was an official document from the DMV and expired the next day.

When I questioned this, the bartender called the owner over. I calmly explained my situation, but they insisted that Golden police instructed them not to accept paper IDs. While I found this policy unusual, I didn’t argue and simply said I’d go somewhere else. That should have been the end of it.

However, a male owner suddenly started screaming at me, saying they could lose their liquor license and that they were a “$2 million-a-year business” that didn’t need my business. He aggressively cursed at me and told me to “get the hell out” – all because I politely said I would leave. No one else in the bar seemed to think it was a big deal, yet he reacted with unnecessary hostility.

I’ve always tipped well and enjoyed my previous visits, so this treatment was shocking. It was an over-the-top, aggressive response to a completely normal situation. I would caution others before going here – if this is how they handle a simple ID question, I can’t imagine how they treat customers in other situations. There are plenty of other places in Golden where patrons are treated with basic respect.

1000 miles and a timezone away, I found a home. From simply drinking under an awning, to buying an old Style next to a man who openly lamented the Bears, I was in Xanadu. Table service could be better, but an excellent environment to enjoy Chicagoland Sports.
