It's more like a nice airbnb, not to the standards of 5 star hotel. They also had only breakfast service and it was ok. Amenities like toiletries are not provided other than shampoo and body wash.

Lovely accomodation however....listening to others loud music is very very annoying. The caves/suites are extremely close to each other and we had music from 2 suites ...no siesta for us and therefore a waste of money. |An offer to purchase water etc would be useful too. We had NO idea that there was nowhere to purchase simple supplies.

I would like to raise a complaint regarding my booking at Xuq made on 30 June 2024. Please see below for further discussion.||I request the reimbursement of the full cost of my reservation, which is 312€.||The reason of the request is as follows:|1. The email led me to the incorrect address. I showed up at Jorquera, whereas I later learned that the reservation is actually for a guesthouse at Cenizate. Not only is this not what I expected to be staying, given all o the information provided in the email, it required me to drive an additional 50 minutes at the end of a very long and tiring day of driving, after I've made a specific detour to go to Jorquera. The email misleading in the following ways: i) the first photo shows the Jorquera location; ii) the Google maps link is to the Jorquera location; iii) searching Xuq in Google Maps only show the Jorquera location; iv) searching Xuq The Hamlet on Google Maps does not lead to any result; v) the full address of Xuq The Hamlet is not shown in the email; vi) I did not receive any other communication by Whatsapp or by SMS with the address for Xuq The Hamlet until after the check-in time; vii) on the Contact page of the Xuq website, only the Jorquera location is shown; viii) the receptionist at Jorquera agreed that the email was unclear. .|2. Various amenities stated in the email are not available : parking, reception, in person check-in, breakfast. I assume it's because the email is for the Jorquera location. But as a result of the email, I have not planned for breakfast, and I had expected parking, reception, in-person check-in.|3. There no salt or oil in the kitchen. This is basic amenities when talking about a "fully-equipped kitchen". I don't think it's reasonable to expect each guest to buy their own bottle of olive oil and can of salt in order to cook.|4. I asked for the bottom floor bedrooms but apparently they're not available. I was first told that one bedroom on each floor has been left open. I was later told that only the bedrooms on the top floor are left open. I was told that the bottom floor bedrooms would have been hot, and that they don't have air conditioning, but it is basic physics that ground floor is cooler than top floor. In any case, it didn't make sense that I have to go up the stairs each time when I am only one person and there are 2 bedrooms available on the bottom. Also this seems to be a reasonable choice to leave to the guest. You could have easily asked me: Would you like the top room or the bottom room?|5. You asked me to provide credit card number and expiration date by WhatsApp, which is unsecure, and also likely infringing GDPR regulation in the EU|6. No towel hook in bathroom so towels do not dry|7. Wifi doesn't work. While the root cause is external (storm previous week affected network), the problem should have been signalled to the client (just like if a tree fell onto the house, it's not the company's fault, but it should've been signalled). No alternative solution has been offered, such as a portable modem.|8. The general condition of the house is poor. Please see attached photos.

We enjoyed our stay at this unique, relaxing location! It is peaceful & comfortable with great views! The service was impeccable. We highly recommend staying here!

My partner and I absolutely LOVED our cave villa experience! We stayed in the Grotta, which is a 2-story villa with two outdoor patios, an outdoor plunge pool (so refreshing!), an indoor tub, cozy upstairs bedroom, wonderful lounge area, and dining room. The landscaping is all very lovely, the lighting is moody and thoughtful, and we loved that it was very private.

We visited in Spring (April), so it was a little chilly, but we knew to bring layers for spending time outside. At this time, the trees were in bloom and it smelled HEAVENLY everywhere! The styling of the villa was gorgeous -- a mixture of old, new, and whimsy. They didn't leave any details out! Very beautiful.

The Landscape Club is pretty -- nice, private areas for couples or friends to hang out. We spent time by the lily pond and enjoyed the stars. The club would be a great spot to spend time in the summer as none of the water is heated.

The hotel is VERY remote, so bring food to cook and eat for all meals (they do provide some pastries in the morning), water to drink, and wine to enjoy. It's in a beautiful wine country, so many great wines to choose from! Be sure to explore nearby areas too -- Jorquera is a cute town (maybe 25 minutes away) and Alcala del Jucar has the castle, river, and a few restaurants to enjoy.

When staying there, you need to remember -- you're in a cave home in a very remote area. Nothing is **perfect**, but it is quite an incredible place to experience! And, as someone else shared, follow the driving directions given by XUQ! The way we drove to arrive there went on a road with very tight switchback curves right on the edge of a cliff.

If we're ever in España again, we will definitely make a point to come back to XUQ for a few days!

A really unique experience in such a beautiful location. Pilar was great to deal with and answered any questions and doubts I had with great speed and efficiency. The setting is stunning and it’s a wonderful place to disconnect and relax.
The suite was really well set up and had all we needed to have a great weekend. I look forward to going back in the future and trying another suite.

I had read about Xuq in an article about the area and it exceeded expectations. The cave experience and location in the Jucar gorge were the attractions but we also found that the facilities are very good too, with the choice of using your own private area or the landscape club, which was very peaceful and well maintained. A beautiful place where you can come to relax in a tranquil location. Would definitely recommend bringing your own food and coal for the barbecue, so you don’t have to leave once you’re here.
