Chris was our waiter for lunch and was excellent! He was very accommodating cordial and came by just often enough to check on us to ensure we had everything we needed without being obtrusive. We ordered the beef rib and was treated to a large slab on a single bone.
Unfortunately the edge of the slab was very crunchy and not edible. The main part of the meat was very tender and juicy. The house barbecue sauce is excellent!

We ordered the cornbread for the side dish and were very happy with the texture and the taste. We also ordered the cheesy tater tots and ate very little of them as the cheese overwhelmed the potatoes.

Super delicious BBQ, some of the best in the nearest 10 zip codes!

Service was fast, accurate and the brisket is going to be in my daydreams even after I get dementia.

3 or 4 BBQ style sauces, all amazing. Even some lesser ones for a wimpy tongue like mine.

Did I mention how great the brisket was? Better than Aspen, Grand Junction, Moab and anything else this trip.

HIDDEN GEM!

All of our usual spots were 2.5 hour waits. This one was similar but had outdoor seating with heaters. So glad we took the risk because the view of Howelson was wonderful and cozy.

Also, such a great playlist (we were going Shazam crazy 🤪).

The food was on point! Buffalo wing sauce… perfect. Salads … delish. Kids burger 🍔 substantial. Moist brisket with side of Cole slaw. Definitely a winner. You could see the red smoke ring on the edge, and it wasn’t dry or too fatty or thin. Nice thick pieces. That’s a BBQ review from a native Texan. It’s no surprise the place is owned by Texans. My only tiny critique is I could taste a bit of sugar in the slaw, but that’s just me.

Kids loved the hot chocolate too.

Staff was SO nice! Beautiful fire pit outside as well.

If you go in wintertime, don’t be afraid to sit outside, it was awesome.

Excellent food and service. The wings are smoked then fried - wow! Brisket was excellent as well. I can't wait to come back in the summer and watch the river and drink a beer in their patio.

We had a great time at Icehouse, BBQ was excellent, service was fast and friendly, highly recommended reservations but if not their patio is enclosed and it’s toasty.

What a great evening. Let me start with the food because everything that came to the table was delicious. I am always trying the Burnt Ends whenever they are on the menu and have tasted many good ones but these were some of the best. The texture was perfect and the flavor was amazing. I started with a smoked old-fashioned, an order of the cornbread and flash-fried brussel sprouts. ALL were excellent. We had the smoked chicken salad sammie, pulled pork sammie, combo plate with brisket & burnt ends and the Winter Orchard Salad. I did order a side of the ribs and this was the only dish that I was disappointed with as I prefer the meat to fall off the bones and this meat was much firmer. Portions were generous and the prices a great value especially for Steamboat Springs. Ayla was our server and she knew the menu well and was very attentive to our table. Having great service is the icing on the cake when going out to eat. We did finish with "Zerts" - Banana Pudding and Chocolate Lava Cake - great way to cleanse the palate. The atmosphere was also great and would be even better when they have outdoor seating in the warmer weather.
