We went here for dinner for my wife’s birthday. We were blown away by the beauty of the property and just how genuine the people who work here are. Normally fine dining is a little stuffy or robotic but everyone was so nice and very real. The food was so incredible. Every course was absolutely perfect.

NYE 5 course tasting menu was one of the best meals we've had ever and top of the list in the US for sure. Every detail was perfect and the flavors were incredible. I chose some vegetarian options while my husband had the seafood options and mine were just as fantastic and beautiful as his. I was so impressed and didn't expect it to be that good. Can't wait to return!

Ojai Valley Inn is beautiful. Service was very good and server did his best but unfortunately could not make up for overall experience which was a rip off, went there on a weekday, only option was 4 course menu 125$ per person or 250$ with wine pairing, also some items have additional charge on menu, the portions were too small/ not enough for average person and to compensate they give you half a loaf of bread with butter, don't get me wrong the bread tastes great but you can buy a full loaf for 14$ from rotie's and that is not why you go to a fancy restaurant, ended up filling up ourselves with bread and walked out with a 350$ plus check. Not coming back. (Will be back to the Oak for brunch that is a good/different experience)

We had a spectacular meal here last night. First the staff is exceptional starting with the hostess Sienna and our server Dakota was incredibly informative and attentive and the Som's pairing perfect for every course of the prix fix meal. Some of the standouts for the night were the rib eye steak cooked to perfection and the chicken was so moist and delicious and all the plating just extraordinary. We did one wine pairing per couple which was plenty of libation to match each wonderful course from start to finish. We opted for the cheese addon at the end which was paired with a fantastic bubbly and it was such a nice way to end the evening. The ambience is understated elegance and the look and feel is like a modern European Chalet in the alps. Every ingredient is farm to table fresh and amazing. It was one of the nicest meals we have had anywhere in the world.

My boyfriend and I have traveled around the world eating at Michelin restaurants and Olivella has topped them all. Every course was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were generous given how many courses were provided. We tried not to fill up on bread but the salted Vermont butter and local bread was DELICIOUS. The salad was heavy on vinaigrette which I appreciated and was a perfect pairing with the bread. We both had the rigatoni which was the only dish we would describe as "flat" but the wine pairing was perfect for the dish. The chicken was some of the best chicken I've ever had. It was crispy on the outside and extremely moist. By the end I could barely eat the dessert but the Fig and Honey olive oil cake was light and perfectly sweet.

The service was top notch and even the busser was able to answer all of our questions about the food. Our server was fun and on top of it and modified my drink to perfection.

If I didn't live 1.5 hours away I would be here every weekend. Compliments to the chef and team for the wonderful dining experience.
